A campaign website for Christy Kikue MacPherson, candidate for Hawaiʻi State Senate, District 14 — ʻĀlewa, Kapālama, Kalihi, Kalihi Valley, Ft. Shafter, Moanalua Gardens & Valley, and Red Hill. She already had an identity; what she needed was a site built around it, clear and warm, that turns a visitor into a volunteer, a donor, or a message.
Built from scratch on Wix — on purpose — so the campaign team could keep it current themselves through election day without a developer in the loop.
Purple carries the authority and frames the photography; spring green is the action color — every donate, volunteer, and email button — so what to do next is never in question. Indigo grounds the deeper story sections, and white keeps the long content legible and calm.
Designed around the identity, not over it. Working from her existing wordmark and palette, I built a hero that puts her face and her ask side by side — “I want to hear from you” — then a three-up “get on board” (donate / volunteer / email), a community-issues section, and a “meet Christy” story page. The structure follows what a supporter actually does, in order.
Built on Wix on purpose. A campaign needs to edit copy, swap events, and post without waiting on anyone. The site is set up so a volunteer can keep it accurate through election day, and it’s mobile-first — most of the traffic is a phone in someone’s hand at the door or the rally.
